1. Definisi Article tambahan kata yaitu kata yang memberi arti tambahan terbatas pada kata benda.

2. Jenis-jenis Article

a. Indefinite Article (kata sandang tak tentu) adalah kata sandang yang digunakan didepan kata benda tunggal yang tak tentu (belum diketahui secara pasti).

b. Definite Article (kata sandang tentu) adalah kata sandang yang digunakan sebelum kata benda yang membantu membedakan antara kata benda yang sudah diketahui secara jelas dan pasti dengan yang belum diketahui.

3. Aturan penggunaan Article sebelum Kata Benda

a) A/AN digunakan didepan sebuah kata benda yang dapat dihitung yang baru saja dikenal oleh si pembaca atau pendengar.

Example:

· A ring is made of gold.

· A horse is a fast running animal.

· Doni has an orange computer.

b) A digunalcan didepan kata benda yang diawali dengan huruf konsonan/ huruf mati.. Example:

· I have a book.

· She has a motorcycle.

· Don't take this. It is a pen of mine.

· He plays the piano very well.

· They can play the drum very well together.
