When we decide to build a house usually will design based on the budget we have prepared, of course it is a must. if the design is much more than the money we have then the design will only be a design. will not be able to be built in the real life. just the picture which is perfect and nothing in the real building. the thing that will happen might be just the foundation or it is built but with a very weak quality. beause we may decrease the wall's thickness or the pillars number or may be the omparation of semen and the sand is not equil which decrease the strength of the building

the design itself can be adapted from any building arround the world. you can integrate the traditional and the modern house design, the minimalist and the elegant look design, or you an mix the nature and the house design which will bear sexy and natural house design.

1. Gadang



one of the ten unique house is ccalled Rumah Gadang. Rumah Gadang is the name for a traditional Minangkabau house which is a traditional house and is mostly found in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. This house is also called by another name by the local people by the name of Bagonjong House or there is also a mention by the name of Baanjuang House.
Houses with this model are also often found in West Sumatra, but not all areas in Minangkabau (darek) that can be built this traditional house, only in areas that already have the status as nagari only this Gadang House can be established. Likewise, in the area called Overseas, this traditional house also was not established by the Minangkabau nomads.


Rumah Gadang as a place to live together, has its own provisions. The number of rooms depends on the number of women living in them. Every woman in the family who has a husband gets a room. While old women and children get a place in a room near the kitchen. Teenage girls get a room together at the other end.

All parts of Rumah Gadang are separate rooms except bedrooms. The interior is divided into columns and spaces marked by poles. The pole extends from face to back and from left to right. The pole that runs from front to back marks the column, while the pole from left to right marks the space. The number of sheets depends on the size of the house, it can be two, three and four The space consists of an odd number of between three and eleven.

This traditional house has a unique architectural form with a sharp roof top that resembles buffalo horns and used to be made of palm fiber which can last for decades, [3] but lately the roof of this house has been replaced with many zinc roofs. This Gadang House is made in the form of a rectangle and is divided into two parts, face and back. The front of the Rumah Gadang is usually full of carved ornaments and is generally patterned with roots, flowers, leaves and rectangular fields and parallelograms [1]. While the outside of the back is coated with bamboo slits. This traditional house is built from long poles, large houses are built upwards, but not easily collapsed by shaking [1], and each element of the Rumah Gadang has its own significance which is based on tambo in the customs and culture of the local community.

In general, the Gadang House has a ladder located on the front. While the kitchen is built separately in the back of the house attached to the wall and Because the Minangkabau region was prone to earthquakes from the past because it was in the Bukit Barisan mountains, the architecture of Rumah Gadang also took into account earthquake-resistant designs.
