Unique House 4

4. Gampura Candi Bentar

For those who have visited Bali Islan, Indonesia, they already familiar with this design. you can comment on the commen box if you had visited Bali. Yes it is one of tribal house design of Bali. let us take a look at the picture.

The Gapura Candi Bentar House design actually refers to the gate building that serves as the gate of Balinese traditional houses. The gate consists of two similar and congruent temples and limits the left and right sides of the entrance to the yard. The gates do not have a connecting roof at the top so that the two sides are completely separated, and are only connected on the inside by stairs to the entrance. The Bentar Temple Gate in Balinese architecture is an embodiment of buildings that function to enter and exit from one side to the other (from the outside in and or vice versa). At first when Balinese architecture was still in accordance with the situation at the time of the kingdom, the Bentar Temple Gate was only built in the neighborhood of Puri (Palace of the Kings) and Pura (a Hindu holy place). No Bentar temple was found in most community housing.

The shape is a gate, or a temple that is split in half right in the middle so that it becomes a symmetrical formation. Both in the castle and in the temple, Bentarmen Temple occupies a position in the outermost area, opening the road as well as receiving it for those who will visit the place. The Undagi who are working on this building already have a high sensitivity to their environment, so the results achieved are in accordance with their designation. To understand correctly, where and when Candi Bentar must appear magnificent, appear normal (familiar), sturdy and so on.

This is the picture of the gate.
