The Story of Prophet Moses

The Prophet Musa (as) was a son of Imran bin Yash-har, and was related to the Prophet Harun as. Prophet Musa (as) was born at the time of Pharaoh's control of Egypt.

The Egyptian people at that time were truly guided by Pharaoh who used the system of many gods, even though he had previously been on the right path through preaching carried out by the Prophet Joseph. While the children of the prophet Jacob or the children of Israel have also deviated from TAuhid. They followed the path of the other Egyptians. Not many Jacob families maintain Tauhid religion, and even then it is done in a hidden way.

Then came a time for the children of Israel where they were more and more spread out. They do various kinds of work and they fill the markets in Egypt. Day by day, the power of Egypt was ruled by a cruel king, Pharaoh, everywhere Egyptians worshiped him. This wicked king sees that the sons of Israel are increasing and developing more and have an important position.

Then Fir'aun issued a strange command, which ordered that children born to be male must be killed. The rule began to run. But economists say to Pharaoh; The parents of the children of Israel will die according to their deaths, while the little children are slaughtered then this will end in the destruction and destruction of the Children of Israel but the Pharaoh will lose the wealth and assets of people who can work for him or become slaves and women are not can have again. So it is best to do a process like this: boys are slaughtered in the first year, and they should be left the following year. Pharaoh agreed with that opinion, because he thought that thought was more profitable from the economic side.

One day the mother of the prophet Moses was pregnant with the prophet Aaron, when it was a year when little boys were not killed and he could give birth openly. But when giving birth to carry the Prophet Musa, he was in the year where small children must be killed. The mother also felt very anxious and overwhelming. He was afraid that perhaps the child he was born would be killed too. He also gave birth secretly. And to hide her child, the mother also breastfeed secretly. Then came a blessing, at which time the All-Knowing Allah gave revelation to him, as follows:

"And we give inspiration to Moses' mother:" Feed her and if you are worried about her, drop her into the river (the Nile). And do not you worry and do not (also) be sad. And do not worry and do not be sad. For verily we will return it to you, and make it (one of) the apostles "(Qur'an 28: 7)

Hearing the revelation of the all-powerful God and the compassionate and sacred call, the mother of the Prophet Musa immediately obeyed him. Then he was ordered to make a small chest for the Prophet Musa as. After breastfeeding it, he put it in the chest. Then he went to the bank of the Nile and threw it on the water. Which mother could throw away the child she was born with, her heart was full of pain when she placed her child in the nile. But that is a command from an all-knowing and all-loving and compassionate God.

Some time after being on the water of the Nile, then Allah ordered the flow of the Nile to be calm and gentle to the baby it was carrying which would later become the Prophet. As the almighty God commanded the fire to be cold and bring salvation to the prophet Ibrahim as, so God commanded the river Nile to carry the Prophet Musa calmly and full of tenderness so that he directed it to the palace of the king of Pharaoh. The water of the Nile brought a chest containing the prophet Moses to the palace of the king of Pharaoh. There the waves turn it over to the shore then he leaves it to the shore. And Angin said to the grass that was sleeping by the side of the chest: "Thou shalt not move much, because Moses is asleep. The grass obeys the commands of the wind and Moses is still sleeping.

At one time, the sun had illuminated the palace of the king of Pharaoh. Pharaoh's wife went out for a walk in the palace gardens as usual. The wife of the pharaoh's king is not the same as Pharaoh, Pharaoh is an infidel, but his wife is a believer. Pharaoh is stubborn, but his wife is a loving woman. Pharaoh is a villain but his wife is a gentle and loving woman. But the woman felt deep sadness because she had not been able to bear children. He really wants to have children. When he stopped at the side of the garden he smelled new trees in the garden, which spread a sad feeling of loneliness. At the same time, the women who helped him filled the place.

As written in the Qur'an

"And said the wife of Pharaoh:" (He) is the eye-conditioning of the heart for me and for you. Thou shalt not kill him, may he benefit us or we take him to be a child, while they are not aware of it ”(Qur'an 28: 9)

Pharaoh looked very well at the sight of the behavior of his wife who embraced a small child who was found by the river. Fir; aun looked astonished because his wife cried for joy, in the eyes of the pharaoh he never found his wife crying for such happiness. Pharaoh began to realize that his wife loved the child like his own child. Pharaoh said to himself: "Maybe he remembers that he is unable to bear children and wants this child". Finally, Pharaoh agreed on what his wife said. Fir'aun fulfilled his wish and agreed to care for and educate the boy in the palace.

After hearing the approval from her husband, a great joy appeared on his wife's face. The Pharaoh had never witnessed such joy. As a husband he has given various gifts to his wife, various ornaments and slaves he gave to his wife. But his wife has never smiled. He thought that his wife did not understand the meaning of a smile. And now, the pharaoh saw his wife's face filled with a happy smile. Meanwhile the Prophet Musah who was still a baby began to cry because he was hungry. The pharaoh's prophet's wife said to her husband: "My little child is hungry", then the pharaoh said: "Bring him a breastfeeding woman", then came to him a woman who was breastfeeding from the palace. The woman tried to breastfeed the Prophet Musa (as), but unexpectedly the Prophet Musa (as) denied it. Then a second woman was brought in, then a third, then up to the tenth, but the prophet Musa (as) continued to cry and did not want to suckle to any woman among them. Seeing this, the pharaoh's wife cried because she could not bear to see the suffering of a new child she had just discovered. He did not know what to do

But those who felt sad and cried were not only the wife of the pharaoh, the biological mother of Moses also felt sad and cried. When his mother threw the prophet Moses in the Nile, he felt that he was throwing his baby into the river. Then the chest that was thrown was lost under the river water and the news was hidden. And when it came in the morning, Moses' mother felt the sadness that always haunted him. He almost went to the pharaoh's palace to get news about his son if, Allah SWT put peace in his heart so that he gave his son's affairs to Allah SWT. Then, he said to the sister of the Prophet Musa as.

"Go quietly to the palace of the pharaohs and try to get news about Moses and be careful not to let them know you," then the sister of the prophet Musa went quietly. Finally he listened to the story of the Prophet Musa as perfectly. He saw the prophet Musa from a distance and listened to his cry. He saw them in a state of confusion that they did not know how to feed them. He heard that the Prophet Musa (as) rejected the offer of a woman who was trying to breastfeed him.
